This is one of three watches were currently listing that came from a recent Probate job we did.This one is an old steel/gold Breitling Chronomat in pretty good condition.The watch probably dates to the 1980s or 90s.Ive been wearing this watch over xmas and it seems to work ok and keep good time and all the chronograph functions work ok.The only real faults with it are the gold plate on the 4 pointers on the bezel is wearing off and the winder doesnt seem to be the screw down type.I know the old Breitling chronos used gold plated fittings but im not sure if they had a screw down crown or not,i know the modern ones do.All that said wether the crown screws down or not it doesnt seem to make any difference to the way the watch works other than it may compromise the waterproofing of the watch.The watch has a replacement thick non breitling strap as the old one was completly knackered and was only fit for the bin.The case has a bit of light scratching on the back comensurate with age and use but nothing major or that would detract .All in all this is a nice quality watch that seems to work ok and will be a cheap buy for somebody.
