Hey guys,

Right now I'm learning how to fly the Beechcraft T-6A. In this particular airframe, we pull 4-5 sustained G's on a regular basis during most flights. I currently own a Breitling B01. While I know it is an aviation watch, given the price... I thought it would be prudent to DOUBLE CHECK w/ the experts (all you guys) if it is safe to expose my watch to such a strenuous environment. Alternatively, would anyone happen to know who at Breitling I could contact?

My other question is if it is safe to take it to 16,000 ft.

Thanks a lot for any help you can provide

- John

Yes, that's what they're built for.

We do worry about our watches don't we!

Breitlings have been in space so I don't think 16,000 feet is running too big a risk

In terms of g forces, it's sudden impact that you need to worry about where the instant g force can easily be in triple digits. If you are pulling enough g in a T-6A to damage the watch then you have far greater problems than a damaged watch :!:

haha, yea - I'm a little insane about protecting it. Well GREAT, thanks a lot for the advice guys. Looks like I'll be strapping the B01 on for my next flight.

Dude, better safe than sorry, how about getting an Emergency for the other wrist so you are fully breitling'd up and fully covered for all circumstances!
