Ok, i love the Breitling Emergency. The 'look' it has just rubs all my right spots (oooh yah!). Also having a digital + mechanical watch, really looks 'modern'. One thing i really do not like is the bottom right knob (used for the emergency signal antena). Did Breitling make a similar model, w/o the fugly knobs? ![]() Something like this.... ![]() ![]() |

I'm gonna piggy back off this thread... Did Breitling make the Emergency Mission in brushed as well as polished? I'd much rather prefer the non-digital display Emergency... |

So I assume you're not too bothered about the Emergency's distress transmitter? Its the main feature of the watch, but does have a couple of downsides 1. possibility of massive fines if someone activates the transmitter 'for a laugh' 2. expensive battery changes and servicing If you like the size and feel of the Emergency, then the earlier 40mm Aerospace might not be large enough. The newer 42mm version does wear bigger, but is still only about 10mm thick |

Smaller is better, i have small wrists ![]() |

No one in their right mind would put their lives in their hands of it. Their primary distress beacon will be withing the plane. Secondary will be in the life boat. Also the whole antenna thing is ridiculous. It will only properly work if you are high up, have the watch set on the ground with the antenna extended... That antenna also seem very thin. Heck nothing about that watch looks like it will resist the crash... especially when you compare it to a proper distress beacon. I also haven't yet seen any pilot wear one. And i know quite a few in Montreal and NY. Heck most never even heard of it (but most did agree it was very nice looking). And to add that a lot of rescue agencies are switching to a new channel (something about satellites or something)... It's a gimmick ![]() |
