I don't know if this is the approperiate forum but I noticed a Bentley GT on a leather strap for 3175 US$ on www.authenticwatches.com.

Here is the link: http://www.authenticwatches.com/breitli ... -brnl.html

It would come in handy on St. Patties day though  or perhaps it would make a good lawn cutting watch.

There's another Bently that's 47$ off. But it's purple.

The Mark VI complications 19 are 57% off, but then again, you better hope that nothing goes wrong with it

Plenty of threads about Authentic watches, it's still a grey market dealer so you won't get a Breitling warranty. There are some exceptions, but usually you can get the same prices from an AD.

but in the rare chance you have an issue, you could send it back to Breitling and pay to have it repaired. If you save $1500.00 on the purchase and spend $500.00 on a repair, then you are still ahead $1000.00

But if you save $500 and hgave a repair that costs $1,000........

It's all a gamble. Including whether you will actually get a new watch from a grey market dealer. Grey market buy from ADs and in some cases the reason that the AD is getting rid of it is that it's a return.

Additionally, even if it's a 'new' watch, the AD has sold it to the grey market because they can't sell it and need to maintain turnover, the grey market dealer then has to carry it, etc so it's not unusual to buy a new watch from grey market and find out that it was made 2+ years ago.

I'd agree. You can see this especially when significant aesthetic changes occur in model years. Like the '09 Cockpit. There are loads of websites claiming to sell Cockpits that are "brand new, in box" but still have the older circular guilloche pattern. When compared to the "pillow" shaped pattern on the newest models, it's obvious they are not "brand new".

but for $500.00 in savings, I would go to my AD. I would humor the idea of buying one online if it saved me $2000.00. I'd be a little nervous about getting a fake.

Fair enough, but bluntly, if you are saving $1,500 over an AD then you aren't getting enough discount from the AD.

The only exception would be European purchases where we all know ADs are not giving the same discount. And in those cases you have import duties, sales taxes, exchange rates and fees, handling charges, etc, etc.
