I’ve decided that 2010 presents new challenges which require my attention such that I will no longer be a regular lurker and contributor to this great site.

I’ve learnt a great deal about mechanical watches over the last few years, thanks largely to the plethora of wonderful discussions on this forum. An interest in watches is a bit like an interest in music, it never goes away. Thanks to watch forums and sites in general, and Breitlingsource in particular, I’m sure I’ll always be able to walk into a high end watch shop and know a good thing when I see it.

But one suspects I’ll be more able to walk out with something I like if I focus more on making a few dollars as opposed to keeping up with the latest watch news. Besides, I keep lookin’ on the net for a chronograph with better contrasting guilloche sub-dials (for me, the touchstone of a cool watch) than the GT…and guess what? That’s as good as it gets.

Gentlemen, wear your Breitlings in good health.

Sorry to see you go, Carlos.... although I'm sure you'll be back eventually!

I hate to see this. Some really enjoyable and informative posts by Carlos. Surely you could drop in from time to time.
