Post subject:  Nice start for 2008

I'm sitting and waiting for a Breitling for Bentley 6.75, white dial to arrive. And as if that wasn't enough, I just placed an order at my AD for a Navitimer Montbrillant Legende (SS), also with a white dial. Unfortunately the delivery can't come until late February and I'm an impatient guy...

Nice going Aleister! Great choices.
I'm actually just contemplating ordering one of my two "watches to get this year" - either a Chronomat (steel with rose gold bezel and roman numerals, black dial, on black croco) or a Bentley Motors (black dial on Speed bracelet). Just not sure if it's too early in the year!

It is never too early for a Breitling.

Nice picks! A couple more full lings for the collection never hurts.

Really will love to see pics of that Mont with the white dial!

aleister,

Good move on those. But there is nothing worse than waiting for Lings. It seems that every time I decide to pull the trigger on a particular Ling, I head out that day to get one and by the time I do it they are sold out of what I want. Any more than a few days wait time is torture but you will have the Bentley to hold you over.

aleister those are some great watches to fill out your already massive collection. i'm freaking green with envy. haha. my bonus for last year just came in today, and i am so so so tempted to just take it to the watch store instead of the wife, but if i do so i will be one watch richer but one wife, house, car, etc poorer . . . not sure if the trade off is worth it, but i am sorely, sorely tempted.

You should be like.. "Honey, what christmas bonus? I don't know what you're talking about."

Then.. "Oh, this Old watch? I got this Mulliner Tourbillon AGES ago.." :lingsrock:

actually, i think the best plan would be give myself a black eye, tell her i got mugged and the mulliner on my wrist was a fake i got to cheer myself up haha oh yeah the guy selling it on the street also had a box and papers, so i couldnt pass it up since it seemed so authentic haha

By the way, Aleister, I think you've made an excellent choice

So do I, Sportback. :)

One of these days I really have to take some new/better pictures to put in the collection library. Hmm, looks like Sunday is free...

rhequest: You don't have to tell everything... I really like the arrangement between myself and my "girlfriend" (seems strange to find the proper word, "common-law spouse" feels a bit artificial). After any common expenses, I do whatever I like with my money and so does she. She won't mind my watches and whisky and I won't mind her shoes and purses... 8)
