Hi all.

I was passing my local ad and thought i would have a look for a winder. They only stock one make which i think is the time mover he had a double winder in stock and it was a lovley looking peice he explained that they were top quality ect, the only thing that put me off was the price it was just over £1000. so my question is do i really need to spend that much or is there any other good quality alternatives at a cheaper price as i could with saving some money to put towards my next ling

many thanks

Terry

I've owned Rapport and Seinhauser watch winders (and found them fine, but still a little expensive for what they are) and I now use a 6-way winder made by Official Time. I've owned my Official Time for over a year now and found it to be equally as good as Rapport for a fraction of the cost.... and if anything it's quieter! And they come in funky colours too! :) To be honest most are TOO funky, but mine is in grey oak which IMHO is a nice change from the the usual slightly old-man-like traditional walnut look.

I've never heard of Time Mover.. After looking it up, are you talking about the Buben & Zorweg Time Movers? Buben & Zorweg is a top notch watch winder company but I don't see them out here much. Their winders are supposed to be up there with Scatola Del Tempo.
