Do all Lings have to go the same way on a winder......if so which way.......just ordered a basic winder and didnt ask which way it went...........

Is there any advantage to putting your breitling on a winder when you are not wearing it? I mean besides the obvious that it will keep the watch running. Can these watches be wound too much? |

They cant be "wound to much" becuase there is a slip clutch that prevents overwinding. But a winder should have three things: 10 it must rotate in the proper direction for a particular watch, 2) it needs to have a minimum of revolutions during a 24 hour period or it will loose its reserve, and 3) it needs a "rest" period between rotation to allow the mainspring to un-wind. The winders are a luxury as you dont NEED one, but several of us have a handfull of automatics that we wear on a regular basis. I for one do not like having to wind my watches before wearing them or chaning the date to the current day, so I have a 6 watch winder. |

Look up your particular model here it tells you which way it should wind. I also have a 6 watch winder, an official Time one. Whilst it had the necessary rest periods it would rotate far more than is necessary. I powered it via a time switch after calculating the maximum turns per day required and since then all the watches seem to run a lot more accurately. Stef |

Ibought one of these winders. I have not had it setup yet as it wont fit in my safe. But I tried it out and it rotates once 360° then rests (according to the revs per daythe watch needs) and then rotates once again and so on. Each head is indavidually programmed also so one of mine goes CW only and the other goes CCW and CW |

No it does it over a 24hour period and rests after one full revoloution. I know what you mean, I have seen them operate like that but this one seems to operate as described. It came highly recommended this unit I have. |

What I am looking at is from wolf designs, it winds both clockwise and counterclockwise with about three different settings... I want to use it for my chronomat, does it matter which way this watch is wound? weather it be clockwise or counterclockwise? |

Some of the Wolf winders TPD's are far less than this at about 600 and as such the watch will wind down periodically and will stop if not worn or wound by hand ever so often. I think Wolf makes a decent winder but just be careful of which model you get. |

Time Tutelary Black Single Automatic Watch Winder (03).......... I have just taken delivery of one of these watch winders, not an expensive model but i cant for the love of me find out how my Super Avenger with the Pro bracelet fits in........anyone got one or had one or knows how you are supposed to put the watch in the thing.... What a welcome change, after lots of hassle with online goods bing late and not the right type ect ect, the guy i bought the winder off not only liased with me re the late delivery throuhout due to the bad weather, but he sent me some real info re the winder and how to work it via U Tube..........so even in E Bay things are looking up....my SA is dizzy from spinning round in its new roudabout............and i dont have to wear it all the time........the lack of instructions and any form of how to do it other than showing where the mains inlet was crazy really.
