I do think some idiots make there mind up before you even show it to them, A long time ago I worked on a cruise ship and I had a Breitling Aerospace. Now because I wasnt a drinker and smoker and into partying etc I didnt really fit in with the lighting guy and the lead tech whose life revolved around that lifestyle, I was with my wife and going out drinking and partying etc was something I was never interested in. Well but one night we got talking about things we like etc etc and I mentioned about watches and told them about mine well the two mupets said it was a fake and started telling the rest of the crew I was wearing a fake, I wasnt really bothered as I knew it was real but we went to turkey where they were selling $25 fakes and these two mupets bought one and started wearing them and just generally being idiots about it, I nearly lost my patience many times but I kept it. At the end of the day we know its real and if some low life scumbag dosent know the difference its there problem not mine.

Firstly the guy is a first class A-Hole, and likely has "other" issues besides rudeness. Anyone that can fire off an insult like that to a perfect stranger without a second thought is unpredictable, and likely is no stranger to confrontation. While I would be pissed and would want to push my car key into his temple, I would think about my wife and daughter at home and walk away. Just not worth it.
