It's funny how history has a way of repeating itself; or perhaps more accurately, how I will never learn from my past.
My wife dragged me into the mall last week. True to form (and because it is the only store that really interests me), I bee-lined to the Breitling AD to take a look at their selection.
While engrosed in my watch-browsing furur, I noticed out of the corner of my eye that my wife had obtained her very own sales rep and was looking the the lady's Breitlings. Realizing that no good could come from that I decided to join her so I could provide some adult supervision. She was eyeing a bronze faced Lady's Cockpit that had been marked down 25%. I could see by the look in her eye that this was shaping up to be an expensive day.
I had just managed to pull her away from the case when she dropped the bomb, "You should get that Panerai you've been wanting!"
That led to me browsing the panerai selection, which led her to inquire what kind of deal they could give us on both, which led to a reasonable offer, which led to a few minutes of hymming and hawing, which led to an even more reasonable offer and *POOF* I am a new Panerai owner, and she is officially the proud owner of a second Breitling.As we were walking out of the store, and as I was thinking in disbelief how much money we have now poured into watches, I realized that this was the same d@#%ed trick she pulled on me 6 months ago when I got my Datora. Will I ever learn?!
