How careful do I have to be using a Cape Cod cloth on my watch? (Coral Dial SuperOcean w/ polished Pro II bracelet) Is it okay to let it touch the face? That is, can I polish the bezel with it as well or should I just stick to the bracelet? |

I have a shino cloth and I haven't scratched my Steelfish crystal. But I am careful around the crystal and try not to use the abrasive side too much. I don't think a light buff would hurt it, but there are other ways to clean the glass. I use the outer cloth that's not impregnated with rouge. I feel it's better to be safe than sorry. |

Use a micro fibre to clean the crystal and I juse the eye wear lens cleaner to clean the AR coated crystal. |

If you rub the crystal with the cape cod cloth it will slowly wear out the AR coating since it is a very fine abrasive. Might take a lot of rubbing so you should be okay if you get a bit on there, but just dont make a habit of it. I know rubbing other polishing compounds such as Flitz and Metal Glo, etc will remove the AR coating... The Cape Cod is likely no different. |
