Looking at a Montbrillant Eclipse. Can anyone tell me about the moonphase feature, its significance, and if it adds any value to the watch? Certainly looks good. Any background appreciated!

I own a Navitimer Olympus with a moonphase feature and to be honest I can't say I ever use it on a technical basis, however, it's a nice feature to have! The eclipse is a very nice model too, I've seen a few more of those up for sale recently.

I use this website to set mine when it needs adjusting http://www.watchnetwork.com/moonphase/index.html

Moonphase doesn't really add to the value, though it may make the watch easier to sell as there aren't many Breitlings that have it.

Not sure what you need to know in terms of features - it's just a disk that rotates once a day. The moon takes approximately 29.5 days for a full cycle so the disk has two moons on it and rotates once every 59 days.

Thanks Alex, totally agree, it's much better than the newer version!
