Here's the text of my PM....

There is no such watch as a Callisto 8 ans. Ans is French for year, I'm guessing that is just referring to the battery life of 8 years. There are a number of different Callistos:

2002 - 2004 - http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... er_15.html
1994 - 1998 - http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... r_177.html
1990 - 1993 - http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... r_178.html

The price is too high - it should be no more than 800 Euros for the newer ones, 500 for the older ones. The watch is also very small - only around 34.5mm diameter. It's a good watch if you don't mind battery operated.

I will not recommend buying a new Breitling online - there are no authorised online retailers they are at best grey market which means no warranty and at worst fake. For the best deals on used watches you'll need to consider eBay and ask on the forum for confirmation that it's real before committing.

www.chrono24.com has a lot of European based pieces but most are being sold by dealers so prices are too high and you need to haggle.
