There used to be a guy on ebay from Germany that had some Sapphire crystal backs made for the Chronomat. I have considered commissioning a run of display backs for the Super Avenger or Chrono Avenger... but don't know where to start. This would be such a cool idea dontcha think!??!! :lingsrock:

Yep, I remember seeing that guy also. Don Indiano got one last year for his white dial Chronomat and it looked very nice indeed. Breitling would likely release another display back piece if they were currently producing a handwound model. Because the rotor in an automatic obstructs the view of more than half the movement, maybe Breitling feels a display back is unwarranted. :?: Maybe so, but I'll bet the option would sell quite readily. :)
Cheers,
Ron

I think you're right - it would sell remarkably well, but if that was a concern it sounds like an excuse to come up with a micro rotor exhibition back - now that I'd buy!!

That could well be the case, as the only other recent display back I can think of is on the rattrapante models which (being electro-mechanical) also don't have rotors. Bit daft if it is the case though as the rotor (obviously!) moves, so you get to see the whole movement at some time or other(!), and the rotor itself can be decorated to look like quite interesting anyway.
