Post subject: | Skyracer - Date window + picture |
Hi everyone, I am new to this forum and I just wanted to get some feedback on the following issue. I just bought a Skyracer (slate grey) from an AD 4 days ago and everything works fine. Being picky as I am, I have noticed that the date is not perfectly centered in the date window. It is slightly more to the left. I have not played around with the date change at all as it was the AD who set the time and date. I understand that one must not use the quick date change between 8 pm and 3 am. Have any Skyracer owners or other ling owners ever encountered this situation? This bothers me a bit since I would assume that a watch costing $4K would not have such an issue... Please find attached a picture. Regards |

I really think that if you have second thoughts about the quality of a product you paid 4000$ four, you know what is going to happen. You will go back to the AD and have it fixed. Also, i don't know if there is anything wrong with the skyracer line as a whole but another forum member had 3 before he had one without any defect, it was bought from gray market though.. Anyways, back on the subject, if it was me i would want that fixed. To have a product of 4000$ work as it should is not being picky at all, it's just good sense. |

Take it back, I wouldn't accept that from a $50.00 watch. BTW, I have one and it is a great watch, better than I had hoped. |

It definitely needs to go back. If it's consistently in the same position then it should be an easy fix. |

Thanks guys for your advice. Will definitely be taking it back tomorrow to La Swiss in Montreal where I bought it. Will ask them for another one. If ever they were to fix this one, does it take long to do so? I would prefer to get a new replacement though. Will definitely be checking the date placement on that one.... Thanks |

Heck with repair, I'd want another new in the box. They should deal with fixing it being it was their broken watch to begin with. ...and if that is a no go I'd demand my money back and look elsewhere. |

If you were in the UK and that was considered to be a fault, then after 4 days you would be perfectly intitled to a replacement or refund. Not sure how you stand in the US though ? I wouldn't be happy with the date window sitting like that either! |

If the wheel is just slightly out of alignment then it's a quick and easy fix, the problem is that it would have to go to the service centre in Toronto as I doubt that the La Swiss watchmaker will be authorised to work on this problem. @MartC - Montreal isn't in the US just yet!!! |

Huttfuzz wrote: Hey looks like we're quite a couple of guys from Montreal on this forum now ;o) Cool another Montrealer... Which La Suisse? D/T or Laval? I will be at the D/T location later today (anxiously waiting for their phone call) to pick up my freshly overhauled Chronomat Evolution TT..... |
