I learned something else while at my AD today, which some of you may or may not know: Apparently Breitling will give up to six months after initial purchase to change the dial at no extra charge. For example, if you decide that you want a blue dial instead of black, they will do it for you. They have to keep the original dial and send it back to Breitling. I understand the dial is not as expensive as I though it might be, but I still think this is a great feature. I realize later that you can still pay for a new dial, but this is a nice option. I am quite interested in a Steelfish with blue dial, but the AD only has black. Theoretically, I could get the black and wear the watch, while asking them to order a blue dial.
Cheers,
Carl

Interesting!

I wonder if that's truly free, or just the dial. In most cases you will also need new hands as most models use push on hands that cannot be reused, and I imagine that you have to pay for that.

As far I as I knew, Breitling no longer did dial changes in that manner. I remember reading this somewhere. They stopped doing this within the last couple years.. but I've never confirmed it. I'd rather just wait for the correct watch..

I'll get more details on this when I go in this week. When I think about it, I'm sure it's not meant for the secnario I metioned. Probably, if you decide on a watch, then after a few weeks feel that you should have bought a different dial colour, they will oblige.
I would certainly agree, I would rather have the right piece to begin with.
Cheers,
Carl

Great share...I wanted to go with diamond markers but heard that all diamond markers from breitling come in the pearl face for the chronomat evo...would be awesome to get a silver face with diamond markers from the factory...

When I was in Time and Gold back in July they told me that they would exchange the dial at no charge... but at la swiss they never mentioned it. I bought at la Swiss because they had the slate grey dial skyland avenger that i wanted and didnt want to wait

That is also where I got my information, and where I just bought my second Breitling. They have given me wonderful service over the past 10 years, and I have no reason to doubt what they say. Based on their service and integrity, I would have no hesitation in recommending them or getting advice from them.
Cheers,
Carl
