Hi, everybody.

I got a B01 yesterday. Yaay! Here are my immediate impressions of it:

It looks stunning. It also isn't quite as "loud" as I thought it would be even though it's all polished. The much opined on bezel looks very good and different from the impression you get from pictures (I didn't care for it at first, but now i do. Fancy that...). Very slick.

Build quality is top notch. It feels rock solid. The bracelet is very comfortable.

You can feel a marked difference from the ETA/Valjoux-based movements when you wind it. There is more resistance and I'm guessing that this has to do with the main spring...? The instant date change is also very cool. Readability is excellent and the lume index marker on the bezel is a very nice touch. The increments are even more closely spaced on the bezel when you turn it than on the models I'm familiar with.

It's also a quiet winder. If you hold it close to your ear, the sound of the winding mechanism is much less pronounced than Valjoux-based movements. But there is another sound in there if you wriggle it a little and I'm guessing that this is a repositioning hammer of some kind that I seem to remember reading about?

I sold my Tag Carrera and CSO to do this upgrade and methinks that descision will not be regretted :-)

Pics will be posted.

Congratulations. I've tried one on, and it has much more presence than the pics suggested, even for a bezel sceptic like me.

Enjoy it, it looks great on your wrist.

Your wait will be worth it :)
I asked the AD about ordering times and they told me that the wait would be at least one month.

I'm not in the US, but in Europe. Norway, to be precise. I went to the AD looking for the carbon black dial, but the black/white dial really jumped out at me so I got that one instead. It really is hard to do this watch justice with pictures. Even some friends of mine who can't tell the difference between a rolex and a timex, and who don't care to, were really struck by how it looks.

I'm one happy camper :lingsrock:

I've handled the same watch yesterday.

I've also tried one on and had the same impression, it does have good wrist presence. Congratulations!
