Hi everyone, this is my first ever post on this forum and i desperately need your help.I live in Pakistan and am InshAllah(God willing) gonna buy a breitling watch soon.I need your guidance on afew points. The first difficulity i face is that although there is an official Breitling retailer in Pakistan but these people have very little variety.I am interested in buying a Chronomat Evolution, i have heard that the new 2009 model of the chronomaat evolution is just called chronomat and someone said that it is a bit bigger in size than that old one but i doubt the last statement. So one of the problem is that i am not able to get an idea whish watch is better.I like the chronomat and would prefer it with as much diamonds as possible so my first option wasa chronomat with a diamond bezel, with a mother of pearl diamond dail. Then i saw the very same watch with an ivory dial and roman numerals, here the diamonds on the dial were missing but it looked even better. The next thing to decide is if i should get the two tone rose gold strap or the lether strap with a buckle as both look good in their own right way.THen there is the question is the bezel should be of gold or of steel with gold riders.Lastly is the question of where to buy the watch from.I want to ask if it is ok to buy it from the net as i am warned against it but the sellers seem genuine to me.Also where should the watch be bought from, UK or USA, where is it cheaper because as stated before i live in Pakistan and the exchange rate is 1Dollar=84 Rupees and 1 Pound=135 Rupees, so we have to keep that in mind because that is a big factor.I dont know abt watches but i know cars in UK and Usa are of the same numerical price but due to the difference in exchange rate, the UK ones are atleast for a Pakistani like me more expensive as compared to USA.
I also have a few other small questions and conversing in words is a bit limiting, so if someone knowledgeable and who thinks he or she can help me then please give me your number with the appropriate area code so that i can talk to you n have a clear idea of the whole matter so that i dnt end up wasting money.I am giving a link to a page of a site and you can see which watches i am talking about.

This is the one i am most interested in and i think it is one of the most beautiful watch in my spectrum of choice.

Thanx everyone, looking forward to your wise and much needed guidance.

You have to decide for yourself which model you prefer.

The Chronomat Evolution has been renamed the Chronomat but hasn't changed beyond that - the size is the same.

Buying a new watch online generally means gray market which means no Breitling warranty. Some ADs advertise online but you actually buy directly from the store, and while I'm not in the UK I believe that's what Goldmiths do. Swiss Watch Stroe that you also linked sells used watches.

You can certainly buy from an AD in the US or Europe as long as they agree to ship to Pakistan, but if there is import duty to bring the watch into Pakistan then you will still be liable for that.

Swiss Watch Store sell real watches, if you do a search of the forums there are a few threads.

US prices are generally lower than Europe, not sure about UAE or Pakistan.

It could take anything up to 3 months or so for a watch if it is in short supply and has to come from Switzerland, but generally 3 - 4 weeks is more normal, less if there is inventory at the distributor.

I'm not going to recommend any online dealer - I would rather go through an AD. There are a huge number of threads on here about discounts, in the US you can generally get close to 30% on most models.

AD = Authorised Dealer. Store authorised by Breitling to sell their watches. The online stores are not authorised.

US pricelist is on this site - http://www.breitlingsource.com/pricelist.shtml

There are no authorised used Breitling ADs. Breitling ADs may have some used inventory, but they aren't dedicated 'used ADs'. ADs will usually validate a watch if you buy it elsewhere, but may charge for that.

I believe that would retail for $15780, or with your mentioned exchange rate - 1 325 520 rupees.
