I recently sold my CSO in order to help do an upgrade to the B01. Here are some thoughts on the CSO after having owned it about a year:

As some people have commented, the CSO is the sleeper of the AeroMarine line. It gets little attention compared to its bigger brethren, which is a shame because it is a great piece.

The functions and specs are good and plentiful and it is one of the very few models in all ranges that has a Day/Date display. I liked this feature a lot, and being able to cram that in a not-too-big dial while preserving excellent readability is no small feat.

The CSO wears very comfortably and has a noticeable presence despite it's "smaller" size since the height is more marked relative to the diameter. Nice and chunky :)

Build quality is of cource top notch and no parts of the case or bracelet became jiggly or wiggly during the time I owned it.

Another nice thing about it is the way it changes personallity when you change straps/bracelet. My two favorite combos were the Professional II bracelet and the Ocean Racer strap. I had the black dial and using a black strap of some sort really gave it a nice, beefy contrasted apprearance.

In my opinion the CSO stands out because it sort of "has it all" (that's why I bought it to begin with). It really added an element of enjoyment to my day when I was wearing it and I hope that all of you who have this nice piece enjoy, and continue to enjoy, that same feeling!

My overall conclusion about the CSO is, to quote Monty Burns:
"Eeeeexcellent..."

:)

Agree with all the above.

Maybe this post should be moved in the review section!

Definitely a great watch, especially at the under $2K prices we see quite regularly on the sales forums. I've owned two and can say with confidence that they are every bit as nice as the more expensive Chronomat Evo, minus 1.8mm. The only caveat, is that I have seen a large percentage of these with slightly misaligned day/date windows. Given that it is based on the 7750, it seems odd that so many are misaligned, as the 7750 is generally quite reliable. Just my observation from shopping for them over the years.

I had a tad of horizontal misalignment on mine a couple of times, but resetting the date (giving the date dial a once-around) sortet it out. I think maybe it has something to do with the way the Day-feature is rigged and/or coupled to the date, but that's just a guess.

On the whole though, it was a joy to own. If it hadn't been for the in-house movement of the B01, I would have kept the CSO. But since the B01 is sort of a landmark AND a flagship model, and I was fortunate enough to be able to finance it, I just couldn't resist :)
