Need some insight here... I have an Avenger Seawolf '03 model that has just been overhauled and is excellent. I would like to possibly sell or trade for a pre-owned chronograph Breitling that is a little more dress for work, etc... 1. What is a fair expected price I should try to get for my Seawolf? 2. It seems that I see fewer and fewer of the titanium AS's around - so, should I just plan on holding on to it? 3. Based on #2 reasoning...would I be giving up something of greater overall value if I went to a chronograph in the colt models? (No offense to all Colt lovers (I like them too - I just seem to see many more colts than any other model is my point.) Thanks all! |

For an early model Seawolf that has just been serviced (from BUSA?), you can probably expect to get anywhere from $1400-1700. The problem is that you can buy a gently used SS Seawolf for less than $2k. Just keep it, especially if it was recently serviced. The Seawolf is the ultimate beater watch and can be worn with anything. |

Completed sales on eBay are a good way to estimate value. If you do sell you won't get full value for your service though so bear that in mind. In terms of value of one model vs. another - I don't think that there's much in it - you'll end up paying a similar percentage or list for a watch of a certain age regardless of model unless it's some kind of LE. |

Another way to check historical sales prices is to use Elite Deal Seeker, which aggreates sales forums from TZ, WUS, etc. Very very nice tool.
