I took my family on a bit of Christmas shopping trip yesterday and met up with Alan M for a coffee, an absolute pleasure to meet up as always and as an added bonus the owner (I think) of the cafe was sporting a very nice Avenger Skyland, slate dial on brown calf deployant, a perfect combo!!

I mentioned his watch and before we knew it was off his wrist and passed to us for scrutiny, and confirmed to me what an amazing combo that dial/strap is, definitely one thats been on my hit list for a while.

So we drank our coffee, talked about Breitlings and went on our seperate merry ways.

I later took the family in to Mallorys, had a look at the beautiful Jaeger LeCoultre watches and pocket watches and had a very interesting discussion with one of the staff about the new Galapagos Islands edition of the IWC Aquatimer, he talked to me about the rubber coating on the watch, I think us Black Steel owners have nothing to worry about, apparently the rubber coating on the IWC can be removed with a rub of your finger!

All in all a good day out with the additional bonus of meeting up with a good friend from the forum.
