I received my watch in the mail yesterday, in the mail via a reputable AD, recommended by several forum members. This is my first Breitling.
However, several features of the dial no not match pictures from Breitling's website and pictures posted by other members.
For example, it does not say "Automatic" over the hour subdial. Also, there appears to be too much of the "10" and the "8" showing, whereas the pics I've seen have much more of those two numbers cut off. Also, the numbers (arabic numerals) do not have the slashes running through them as the pics I've seen, aka, they are a solid 1-piece numeral.

I can take pics later and post them, but I'm at work right now.
The watch did come with all papers and warranty and matching numbers and certificates, but should I be worried? Can someone please educate me and help me figure out what's going on?

Thanks,
Jeremy

I believe the older version of Super Avenger has the solid Arabic numerals and the newer Super Avenger has the stencil type numerals.

If it came from an AD then it's real. It does sound like the older Arabic version - the stencil was only introduced earlier this year. If it's not the one you want then I would check back with the AD to clarify.

Yes, I just bought an SA ... and first off, as said coming from an AD you have no worries.

Sounds like you got a little older version, maybe the one with the smaller wings logo. As for the slice in the numbers, I believe that style just came out, similar to the Skyland I believe.

Here is my SA. Notice the numbers are like your watch, but I have the larger logo. When I purchased mine it was actually a picture of the older one, but this is what I received.

Mine appears to be the exact same one as yours. Air Force Blue Dial.
It does have the bigger wings, same exact size as yours, with the solid numerals.
Whew!
I feel better now :D

Now that I can rest assured and be proud of my purchase, I'm thrilled to finally own a Breitling, and am proud to wear it!
Are there any specific types of polishing cloths you guys use to clean the crystal, case and bracelet, for normal daily smudges and smears?

Thanks all for your help~
Jeremy

Congrats on the SA Jeremy. If it was from the AD I think it was from, it's 100% real so no need to worry. I have a yellow Breitling cloth that I usually go over my watches with after I put them on.

Do you mean the new version with the slice in the numbers? They are very new and I have only seen one or two posted. I wouldn't be surprised if most dealers didn't have them, or very little selection. I think the older styles are every bit as nice. (As long as you get the pro 2 bracelet)

Yes, with the slice. the way i look at it is: if i am waiting more then 6 weeks for the watch, and no AD has any instock, assuming they need to be made, I would expect to get the latest version, otherwise they should remove that pic from the website if they are not mass producing.

Well if there's a specific item number, and text for the newer version that's definitely what you should get. If it's a Breitling AD it should definitely be what you get!

I bought my SA gray market from a dealer who only had a couple Bs for sale so I didn't take anything for granted. I was ok with any style as long as it was blue dial and pro 2, and that's what I made sure to clarify.

well i bought at a La Swiss (AD) and specifically asked for the black dial with white subdials with numbers. not sure if the model numbers change when Breitling changes their dials (slight changes) the model number on my bill of sale is this:

36945 BRT super avenger ss bk dil
36946 brb brt ss pro brc

Pro 2 bracelet is the current bracelet that comes with all new super avengers is it not?

Yes, pro 2 on all the new ones, and I'm not sure either if the change in dial would change the number. To me it makes sense it would even if just slightly.

From what you wrote I think I would double check with them to make sure you get the very latest dial. Maybe someone else can jump in and tell us if your reference number tells the story. If they had to order it and wait 6 weeks that kinda sounds like everything is ok. Just would be a long time to wait for the wrong dial! But you'd probably love it anyway. :D

Thanks Fear, is it a La Swiss store? here in the GTA (Toronto) all AD's I called at the time did not have any SA's in stock. placed the order with La Swiss in Toronto (Yorkdale location) and was told latest would be end of Jan and as early as first week of Jan. really not sure how the model numbers work at La Swiss though?

Guess the question is, if they started making the new dial, is it reasonalble to expect the newer version to arrive for my order?
