 Post subject: Unusual Navi at Tourneau

Saw a 90's-era smaller navi with a black dial and white gold case at Tourneau. The watch had an extra, left-sided pusher with a split-second function. It was numbered 12/50 but I could not see the movement number as it was covered. Two questions: firstly, what model is this and secondly, does Tourneau bargin in regards to preowned watch prices?

That would be the Navitimer Rattrapante.

Tourneau have been discussed on here a few times (sheck with the search) and general consensus was that they weren't the greatest for price, but don't know about used / one offs.

I have seen that piece.. It was in Chicago at the store in Water Tower Place 2-3 weeks ago. It was part of the trunk show of used watches.

It's rare and the dial was decent however there were some problems.

No books, box or papers of any kind, not really a big deal but not great either.

The back of the watch has been over polished to the point that you could hardly see the script that's engraved on the back. Not to mention it had a couple deep scratches in the back as well. That's the main reason I passed on it. The price was not that great either.

That's exactly the watch. Funny how this resembles the "did you see the blonde on the third floor who has the corner cubicle--of course, I saw hew three weeks ago" conversation

So where is it now?

I suspect that it's been traveling around for awhile....

They also had some crazy diamond works stuff. I like a good diamond bezel but thees bad boys were way over the top. Diamonds on every surface.
