FYI, for those of you that havent JUST bought a watch (or 2) there is a very nice condition Bluebird on eBay right now. It has all the papers and box ect. The auction ends in less than a day, though. I think they are "reaching" for the asking price of $2999. I just wanted to spread the word in case someone (Roff  ) needs this one for their collection. Just do a search for Breitling Bluebird. ( I would put the link up but I thought it might be a no no) |

Very interesting piece I've never heard of it before and it is a beauty... I read the description and the seller is pretty descriptive of not just the watch but his job as well... "THAT IS WHY, UNLIKE OTHER SELLERS, I DO NOT COVER NUMBERS, ETC. BECAUSE WE HAVE A RECEIPT AND "THANK YOU" LETTER FROM THE STORE WHERE SHE PURCHASED THEM. (I AM NOT GOING TO SEND RECEIPT WITH WATCH TO THE BUYER BECAUSE OF OUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION). THE REASON I MADE THIS DISCLOSURE IS TO THE FACTS OF REALITY - THERE MANY CROOKS OUT THERE, WHO WOULD LOVE TO PLAY GAMES CLAIMING OWNER SHIP, ETC. (DID I ALSO MENTIONED THAT I AM IN LAW ENFORCEMENT AND I KNOW HOW TO "TAKE CARE" SUCH PEOPLE?)"

I passed up one with a UTC about 18 months ago because it was in the UK and the exchange rate didn't work. It was the right decision but it still niggles me. They come up every now and then, and while the condition of this one is nice, a service will make any look so good and I am not going to pay a silly premium. |
