Im not sure the rules are set in stone, but you need a really big watch on a steel bracelet. You ot get full credit if its on a strap etc. ....at least thats what ive always thought it was...

Yeah it's just a bit of fun - I don't remember what the difference is between half and three quarters - full ling has to be 46 or greater polished on bracelet if I remember correctly.

I believe the Cockpit would technically be a half ling, but really - who cares - they're all Breitlings

Let's say "The Time & Gold Admirers' Club"!?
Actually, I am not competely sure. I do know for sure I am not a member of the full Ling. The criteria, I believe, is for watches like Super Avenger, I believe 46mm or over and 24mm metal bracelet.
Spealing of Time & Gold, I am headed down there today. My new love is the Aeromarine Avenger Seawolf. They have one that I am going to try. If I like it, I may get one this month. It is pretty big, very heavy, but we'll see how it feels and looks on the wrist.
Keep enjoying that Cockpit!
Cheers,
Carl

Cheers Guy's I will put the half ling thing in :lingsrock:
I know it's just a bit of fun, so it's true what they say, size does matter..Bugger

The time and gold admirers club would be a good one Carl, I was passing their yesterday and noticed they had the copper dial HSO, that is one fine looking watch as well!
I have not taken the cockpit off since getting it(apart from nighttimes!) non of my other watches get worn anymore!
I hope you get the seawolf this month, I would brighten up January ( he says looking out over stnaley park and the rain :(

Just on my way down there this morning! One thing that always cheers me up on a dismal day, such as today, is a visit to Time & Gold. They never seem to mind my trying stuff on. Today, I will wear my Blacksteel for the first time in months. It is the same size as the Avenger Seawolf, except the Seawolf is thicker by just over a mm. I just want to compare the two. At times, the Blacksteel seemed to cumbersome, but that might be because of the Diver Pro. I am hoping there is a Seawolf with PRO II strap to try. Anyway, I will keep my eyes open for that HSO you mentioned. The copper colour is great, especially with the mesh bracelet, I think.
Have a great weekend.
Cheers,
Carl

I think so.

SA is big enough to be a full ling, but the or would cost you a 1/4. Of course acceldebt would say that it's an abomination because not only is it not on a bracelet, it's on rubber!

So 6.75 on Speed Bracelet? Full Ling? Better be with the almost 9,000 price tag and good size. Also my AD told me that the watch is going to be going up about 20% that over 10,000 its gonna run!! Wow!

Yes, but not because of price - it's over 46mm and on bracelet so makes the grade. On the other hand, my rather more expensive Complications 19 would only qualify as a half ling on acceldebt's scale.

Hi everybody :)

As a newbie here on the forum AND as a double new owner of Breitling watches I kinda wonder: how do I apply for these clubs you are talking about ^^

The older of the two is the Navitimer from ~1972 approx, this one is newly resored to nearly mint condition.

The newer is a Emergency Mission, ~2003 maybe.

I'll try to put up some pictures when the Emergency is back from service.

Thanx in advance.

Hi and welcome. These clubs are not "real" clubs. It's just for fun.
I believe that you have to write are your watches on the strap or a bracelet to determine a club. :D
