Does Breitling make travel cases? Are they sturdy enough? I am going on vacation to sunny Florida soon and would like to get a case I can put my watch when I am not using it and also when I go through security. For the first time in all my travels the metal detector alarm goes off when I wear my Super Avenger so rather than taking it off and giving my precious possession to the agent I would put it in the case. :lingsrock:

I have had fantastic luck going on SHOPNBC.COM OR worldofwatches.com. You can pick up some very nice cases at very fair prices. I own several and the quailty is very nice.

The small leather holder that the watch comes in, inside of the box, is a travel case. They will also send you a different type of travel case back with your watch after you send it in for a full service. Ive seen them sold on the various forums for $20-30.

RJRJRJ is absolutely right - the service cases are excellent as travel cases if you don't want to use the leather case the watch came in. The older type of service case is like a flat kind of pencil box, while the newer type is more standing up.

If it's just when passing security checks, try putting your watch wrist behind you at the lower back and then walk through. It works every time for me when I don't want to take off my SA (or other).

That sounds like a great idea! I'll try that when I fly in two weeks. I hope it works for me! Thanks for the tip.

Interesting. I wonder how they are getting around the DLC wears DLC problem. Maybe only DLC on the outside? Will be interesting to see one.
