Post subject:  Another Help-Me-Go-Broke Request...

Basically, I (think) I've narrowed down my next B/Ling purchase ("No, really honey, it really is an investment! As long as the Euro keeps getting stronger, these babies will eventually go up in value! Really!") to:

1. Super Avenger w new stencil numbers or batons
2. B1 w digital UTC (possible? Tried searching, "B1" string too short for search... :( )
3. Digital UTC for my Emergency Mission (possible?)

Other than narrowing down to which one (or 2.. or all...) problem is color of the face/dial.

My current & only piece is the EM (newer style) black face. So, ideally I should go for a white, or blue, or other color face, right?

BUT, with the SA for instance, I kept flipping (literally musta been a thousand times at least!!) between pics of the black face & white face, and the black still calls to me. Maybe because of the contrast of the white sub-dials? Does it come with white face & BLACK sub-dials? I also know it's gonna be too big for my wrist, but hey, I've built calluses from wearing my super-heavy EM 24/7 for a year  -- and thought it would be nice to get an automatic and THE classic blinging B/Ling!

Same with the B1, looked between the blue face & black face, and I kindda like how the digital display "disappears" w the black dial when not on, and I am concerned that I may not like ALL of the different shades of blue that different lighting conditions produce.

I know it sounds like I've made up my mind right? But what if 3 months after purchase I felt that I made a huge mistake to own ONLY black face Bs?! :?

Last option is in case I STILL could not decide when I'm in the AD trying to decide and (either) the AD is snoring (or) he's ready to throw me out of the store -- then maybe I should just get the digital UTC/Co-Pilot for my EM and move on till next time? Is the digital UTC for EM interchangeable with the B1?

Boy, haven't been this indecisive since I was 3 and couldn't decide between chocolate ice-cream or strawberry!!

Lastly, anyone has any (or all) of the above for sale?....

Ah  , thx for the info. Is it the same for the regular UTC?

Appreciate it again bnewbie.

Just saw the photo of B1 with regular UTC at WUS... doesn't call to me... imo the digital dial of B1 should go with the digital co-pilot? I like em substantial on my wrist, and concerned the B1 without co-pilot will feel too small, especially after the EM... :(

The Chronomat (Evo) Bracelet fits perfectly onto a B1, which means that the Chronomat with Co-Pilot module should also fit perfectly on the B1 if you want that combination. I think it would look pretty sweet. I had a Chronomat Bracelet on my B-1 and quite liked the look.

UTC was not made for the 22mm (current) Blackbird rather it was for the Evolution which has the same head geometry (see the pic in the "Blackbird" thread).

That's interesting to know Admin. Personally I MUCH prefer the older Chronomat (Evo) bracelet as the angle of the links is much steeper than on the new B01. In fact I think the bracelet is another area that Breitling have lost at little of their "DNA" with the B01.

I would suggest that you buy one of each, used of course. Then you decide which one(s) you want to keep and which to pass along to some other lucky owner. Hopefully you'll be able to sell them for what you paid or close to it.

My last two Breitlings were this way - I bought them used, and after a few months, one was too small and the other was too big. My Colt is "just right". :)

Admin, thanks for giving me hope of a co-pilot UTC for the B1 again! :lingsrock: I was trying to convince myself that I would also love the Airwolf w co-pilot instead!

'Course e regular UTC rocks too! Just a personal preference which I feel would better match the digital display of the watch.

Mjb, seemed quite difficult to get a reputable seller for even one of the watches I want, much less both at the same time! Doesn't help that all e current owners of B1 seemed to love theirs to death, and the SA I'm looking for is the newer style!

But again, much obliged (!!) if anyone knows a reputable seller willing to part w their beloved black face B1 and/or new number dial SA black (or maybe blue)?? I promise to take good care of 'em next!!

Or maybe I should post a WTB? Do they actually work? I can pay US Paypal or wire transfer from my Bank of America acc...

Tell u the truth, my dream Breitling was a "franken-fake" I once saw in Santee Alley, Los Angeles, which was an SA in dark titanium (not black) finish with black face AND digital displays like the B1!! ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!! ... If only...
