Hey guys quick question, would it be difficult and costly to change the dial on my Chronomat if I get tired of the current dial? I think Breitling USA does it but I hear they keep the old dial and it's very expensive? Can a watchmaker/technician do this? Looking for white/ivory dial with roman numerals no gold when the time comes if ever.

Breitling will do it, and they will keep the old dial. It always used to be horrendously expensive - $1,200 - $1,500, although there have been a couple of members recently who got it done for just a few hundred. However, that wasn't on a current model.

The only way to do it is really through Breitling. A dial change is not technically difficult, and you can find dials on eBay (among the fakes), the problem is that Breitling will not have a record of the change so if the watch ever goes back to Breitling for repair / servicing they will put the original colour dial back, chrage you for the priviliege, and likely charge more for servicing to undo what the non authorised watchmaker did.

Of course you don't have to use Breitling for servicing, but then you will get generic ETA parts rather than Breitling and your watch will slowly regress to having a generic movement rather than a modified one.
