Hello everybody,

Newbie here. My Fiancee is buying me a Breitling on our Honeymoon in March.
She will be buying in the airport in Montego Bay Jamaica, the prices in Ireland are very expensive.

I have been looking on this site for a long long time and also the Breiltling website which I think the Japanese site is better for viewing.

http://www.breitling.co.jp/fitting/

One's I really like are the following.

SA - Battons - Black Dial - also like the numbers.
Chronomat B01 - Battons - Black Dial / Also like the 2 tone with black face.
Chronomat 2 tone - black face.
Blackbird - I like the big date.

I have tried the above watches in my local AD except the B01 as they won't have them in stock until Jan, I have to say I like them all.
Would be great to win the lotto...

Has anyone got any of the above watch's, I want to wear it for everyday use.
Its wrecking my head as I can't stop thinking about which is the one for me.

What would you go for ????

Cheers

Rgds

For everyday use I would have to go with the BB, unless you don't mind wearing a little gold on a daily basis :D

IMO the SA is too bulky for everyday use and this from someone with a wrist north of 7.5" :D

If you really like the size of the SA, take a look at the Bentleys. They are much more comfortable :D...

Of those choices, definitely the B01.

OMG, they seem to have a huge range.
The stores I go to in Dublin only have a small window for Breitling.
I can't wait to pick out my watch, the photos are cool.

The watch would be duty free, would they tolerate haggling on the day for a cheaper price? Am I right in saying that the AD can knock up 20 - 30% off the watch. Is this the case in Airport shops???

I went to a different retailer in Dublin today and I tried on the B01 and I have to say I loved it, it was steel with the black face. I loved the design in the watch plus it’s the ultimate chronograph. In Dublin it retails at 6,500 euro (fairly expensive).

I have e-mailed Bijoux in Montego Bay for a price on the B01 / BB / SA / Chronomatic.

Its looking like the B01....

Thanks for your help in choosing.

My experience with ADs in the Caribbean is they would only give 20% off.

30% is probably a bit steep, but you should be able to get 20% or so. Dont let them use the duty free aspect as a bargaining chip either. That savings is for you and should have nothing to do with the discount that they can offer you.

When I went to pick my watch up last night, Goldsmiths had a B01 in (on an ocean racer) and it looked amazing. I tried it on, and had a good perusal of it. The Blackeye dial or whatever it's called looked great. I fell in love with it. I thought the bezel looked good as well. So to answer your question, I'd say go for the B01!

Out of the choices listed, I would go for the Bird, especially if you are going to both work and play with it; it is a model that can suit all situations beautifully. The SA and chronos are more sporty and blingy which may not always be the right tone for the situation. The question is: do you always want your watch to draw attention to itself or not?

The blackbird is also a beauty but when I tried on the B01 I thought it looked better on the wrist.
I love the black eye blue dial in the B01 which looks awesome with the ocean racer strap and the pilot bracelet.
I was going for a black dial at the start but I just think that the b eye b dial looked so cool.
I also love the design in the B01.

Only sting is I will have to wait until March.
