I am considering another watch and am interested in the Chronomat 41 in steel and gold. However, I don't particularly like the rose gold as I feel it is an unfortunate trend or the square box in the dial. Consequently, I have recently looked at a Rolex Yachmaster and really like it. I have really liked the Breitling brand, but I find some of the recent styling a little dissapointing. Is it just me or do others feel the same? Would it be blasphemous to add a Rolex to the posse?

Thank you,

Just read some of the threads here!

Many people don't like the newer Breitlings, and many people have other brands, with Rolex being one of the popular ones. Just buy what you want!

its funny that you mention Rolex. im a recent convert myself to the Rolex brand. But if you ask some of the long time loyalists about the Rolex direction their complaints are similar to what we complain about over here. alot of them dont like the direction that Rolex is heading in.

i guess its really true one mans trash is another mans treasure

Rose gold is cool and trendy currently, maybe Yellow gold has fallen a bit out of favor now. If you intend using it as a dress watch, would go with rose gold, if a tool watch, no.
Here's a rose gold Datora from 1946:)

I know how you feel......I wasn't too happy with the title "ROSE GOLD" on my
Cockpit Two-tone, but it wasn't real pink like a piece of rose my mom had from the
'40's....Look at the watches from Dif. dealers. Don't forget to look at it under normal
daylight....It does look different. Good luck on your choice....Oh, I own a Rolex too. :D
