Hello to everyone,

I presently own a two months old Black Dial CSO that i like very much, i think it's an incredible watch and i keep staring at it. However, i went to my AD and saw a slightly used 2009 Blackbird. It's in the same state as my CSO, pretty much spotless, except 1 airline on the bracelet, let's say 95%.

So i didn't look at the price, knowing that a BB on bracelet is about 7000, i thought a used one would be 5000 and i dont have that kind of money for a watch right now, and to make a story short, my wife would kill me if i bought another watch in a 2 months interval.

Whatever, just for FUN i would like to know your opinion guys. Let's say the AD would be willing to do the exchange, both watch used and at about 95%. How much do you think i should put as a monetary complement, how much would you expect to pay for that kind of deal?

Of course id do it, even though there is no chance on earth that they would. If you look around though, you can find a used BB in the $3500 range.

I think didn't ask what i wanted to know.

Basically, how much would you be willing to put in, if you exchanged a SCO for a Blackbird, both rated about 95%?

its probably gonna cost ya 1k to do it.

That's the number I was thinking originally, but doing the math I think it would probably be at least $1500

That would be my guess. Id peg the CSO at about $2000 and the BB at $3500.

Do what I did, I bought a Colt Automatic II and took delivery this week. I have now hid it in one of my clothes cupboards and have ordered and Avenger Seawolf which arrives next week. Told my wife that I got the Seawolf second hand for EU 500,00 (its new like the Colt) and, afer I have given her her Xmas present, will tell her about the Colt. The deal I got for both watches was a deal I could not refuse. Anyway lie to your wife, tell her its a fake, buy her a nice present and then tell her the truth. I am going to tell my wife that the Colt was a company Xmas present (Im fortunate, my wife is a bit naive).

Not mine.. lol
