Post subject:  New to Breitling with Chrono Avenger

I bought myself an Omega Seamaster a couple of years back with the intention of keeping it for a long time, however, whilst on honeymoon this Christmas I suddenly got the urge to buy a the new Omega Planet Ocean. When browsing in dozens of grand watch shops in Kuala Lumpur I fell in love with a Breitling Super Avenger in titanium.

Managing to get an hour on the internet reading up on Breitling and the SA I began to question it being that model. It was my last night to find out and hopefully purchase. Once finding out it was a CA I decided it still looked good, had a comfy fit and was a reputable brand, leading me to buy it.

After getting back home I’ve been on the internet and found out the titanium bracelet can easily scratch and the model is not made anymore (good thing or bad?(the sales girl told me at the time it was new in shop with the new style bracelet)). I guess what I’m after is some reassurance, also thinking of getting a black strap after seeing a pic, what you think?

Would add some pics if i knew how to.

Cheers,
Jim

If I were you, I would hang on to it. Indeed, Titanium is softer than SS, but it is still durable and light.

My pre-loved CA is on its way right now from California. I'm about to be reunited with a Chrono Avenger.

Chrono Avengers also look great with straps plus the watch itself has character.

As for adding photos, use photobucket. This would be my third one.
The fist CA (blue dial) with Pro I was stolen, the next one a black dial didn't have all the paperwork that I needed and had a Pro II bracelet (didn't feel as comfy) hence I sold it, the third one has everything that I wanted (papers and Pro I).

You're welcome Jim. In photobucket, you can use the link that begins with IMG (code). This will allow you to show the picture as opposed to a link, similar to how I did mine.

Again, congrats on that beautiful piece!

Great looking piece. I wish the black Super Avenger had matching chrono dials like this does!

An All-Black SA, that would be interested.. actually, an all Black SA with faceted Pro II bracelet like the Black Bird would be hot.

What is the faceted bracelet? The pics of a blackbird on the models section dont seem to be on Pro 2's.

I think Admin means he'd like to see an all black SA with a Pro II bracelet that is faceted in the same way that the pilot bracelet of the Blackbird is.

Hey this is a family show - no racism here!! Although we keep a low profile when acceldebt is in town  everybody gets a chance to speak their minds here - enjoy your watch/es - I know I do !!

However, one thing bothers me a little - if Skipp1 is Jims wife, how come she lives in Florida and he lives in Yorkshire??????
