Post subject: | Brietling Mechandise - is it worth selling? |
Hi, I've worked for Hospitality International in the Brietling VIP area at the Royal International Air Tattoo for 2 years. Must admit I feel quite lucky to have been placed in the Brietling VIP area both years because I get to meet the Red Arrows and other pilots who come in to get their watches cleaned. Plus I get to see some beautiful watches on display. The Brietling organisers always give us some mechandise (which they have in the tent to give to clients with a purchase of a watch) as a thank you for our hard work because we don't get tips. I'm now wondering whether it's worth selling the mechandise and thought it best to ask people on this forum. I'd appreciate any opinions and apologise if I've posted in the wrong area of the forum. Please don't take this as spam. Thank you, Miss H Howlett. |

I'm sure it's worth selling it, what do you have? There is normally a fair bit of it on Ebay so you might get an idea of prices etc on there. |

Hello & welcome to the forum. I suppose an obvious answer would be that it depends on what you're selling. Many of us have pens & caps, far fewer have leather flight jackets ![]() Maybe you can post a list of what you have on this thread before going the "official" For Sale section of this forum. Peter |

Thank you Rick and Peter for your replies. I have looked on ebay as you suggested Rick and there are some caps for sale which I have compared prices with. I wish I had a leather flight jacket Peter, they look amazing! Don't think I'd sell it though if I did have one! From the 2006 RIAT I have a Brietling shirt, 2 black Brietling caps and 3 pairs of Brietling ladies driving gloves. From the 2008 RIAT I have 2 Brietling polo shirts and 3 brown Brietling caps. From both the years I also have Brietling VIP lanyards (given to Brietling owners at the air show to allow them access to the VIP lawn area and the free bar), promotional booklets (e.g. with Red Arrows) and both years RIAT official programmes although I don't think people would be as interested in these items. Thank you, Helen. |

Helen, I might be interested in a lanyard as I use one daily for work. Would be nice to have a breitling one. If you could send me a scan of it, I am interested. If I were you, post all the caps etc.. On the sales forum. I'm sure there are some interested people. Alot of guys, including myself buy second hand and they don't get the swag like you do when you buy from an AD. I have two caps, blue and black that I will eventually put up for sale since I will not be wearing them. Not really a cap guy. |

If this is going to turn into a selling thread, items should be priced and put int he buy/sell area rather than discussing selling here. Having said, that I'm kinda interested in those polos ![]() |
