Hii guys , I still confused , how to measure watch diameter ?? Do the manufacture measure from the case or just the dial ???ex 39 mm , it's included case diameter or just the dial they measure...
Oh yeah , my wrist is small it about 6,5 inch , what diameter I better take 40 or 44 mm.,.,the watch I want only have 2 size 40 mm or 44 mm
They say better take 44 mm because it is for man , and the 40 mm one is for ladies

The diameter is measured across the bezel. It does not include the case, pushers or crown.

I have a 6.5 inch wrist as well and here's a couple of shots of a Cosmo at 41.5mm (that's the smallest I have) and a Steelfish at 44mm on me. Hope this helps.

I'm happy to wear my Chrono Cockpit on Pilot for week-days - 39 mm diameter on my 6.75-7" wrist - I think it's perfect and I do not let myself be disturbed by some thoughts it's lady's size. When Sub is 40, classic Datejust 36, IWC Fliegerchrono 3706 39 etc. etc. then I'm satisfied. Thinking to purchase the 38 mm SOH... If some time the SOHC would appear in a 40 mm case!!! And the Chronomat B01 would have it's 39-40 mm "sister"!!!

Actually this isn't quite true. Manufacturers measure the case width, without the crown. Not the bezel. Many times the bezel is the same width as the case so it is a moot point, but in situations like Oris divers, where the case is notably wider than the bezel, the watch is stated as 44mm yet wears more like a 40-42mm due to the small bezel. Same with Doxas. Same with Omega Ploprof. etc.

Case heights are not measured a standardized way either: anyone to explain e. g. how the Breitling Chrono Superocean is measured 15.1 mm high? (Mine seems to be a bit over 17 mm...) Some might say that only from the base of the lunette - but what if this watch had a simple polished lunette instead of the turning one? (Like the Breitling Grand Premier and many others.)
But the fact that the SO measures 15.0 against the CSO's 15.1, while in realty the have some 2 mm difference in height clearly shows that the 15.1 mm of the CSO is a simple failure. I've written this to Breitling too but the data is still uncorrected both on their site and in the leaflets.
