Post subject:  Breitling Navitimer 806 for Wempe

Is anyone familiar with this model? Is it available for purchase? Any ideas on price range this might go for? Is this a crazy expensive limited edition kind of thing? Or is this something us mere mortals might be able to hope for and afford?
Last question, are there other models of Navi that look just like this? I don't care that this one says Wempe on it, it's just a great looking watch!

Thanks in advance! :D

The 125th Anniversary Navi isn't too much different. It has the same subdial position and the date is in the same place.

I know, it's beautiful! I like the white subdials better however. Before I knew this existed and before I saw the Superocean Chrono Ltd Ed, I would have gone with the 125 Navi.

It was produced for Wempe (AD) and was sold through their stores. Doesn't really command a premium as an LE.

16 page thread - awesome!
Thanks for pointing me there. So you have one of these Wempe's. Is there a model of navi that looks the same but is not a LE? If you were to sell the Wempe, what ballpark price would you ask? I really really like this dial configuration and would love a regular navitimer with the same look, but baring that, would go for the Wempe. Any suggestions? :?:

You are welcome, the photo and the watch are not mine.

This one is LE, but without any marks other than Breitling... http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... er_82.html

bnewbie, thanks for these links! None of these is the right look however. Is there a model of Navi that looks like the Wempe but without the logo?

So here is what I found that meets the bill. The Navitimer 8806 and the Navitimer 7806-S. I assume being vintage these are pretty expensive. Can anyone give me ball park figures for these and the Wempe. I reallize they would have to come from someone's collection and price could vary, but if you were to buy one what would you consider a fair price (for good condition, doesn't have to be mint or NOS)?

Here you go, and it's brand new, although it's an 8808:

YES! PERFECT! This is exactly what I want! Thank you so much. The fact that its NOS is a nice bonus. I am going to start selling my junk on eBay to be able to affort this. This is just exactly what I meant when I posted this thread about the Wempe. Wow, that's a big price tag but I'm going after it! You guys rock!
