I know this is probably a stupid question, that will get some smartass replies. If I send my watch to get serviced within the 2 year warranty period. Does this mean my watch will get serviced for free?

I think it rather largely depends on who sends it in - my AD sent in my Chrono Avenger earlier this year, and they fixed it AND serviced it and I didn't pay anything (thanks to my AD)

Having said this, I don't think they'll service it free within the 2 years unless there's a problem - just my opinion

I can't think of a smart ass reply.. otherwise I would have used it.

Typically you do not get a free servicing unless there is something wrong.

I believe that 2-year warranty is only to cover any problems that might occur with the watch, and not normal servicing. I don't know about other Breitlings, but I had my SuperOcean for 10 years, and only had a service done once. I actually should have had it after 5 years, but it didn't even occur to me until one of the links on the steel bracelet came loose. It was the onler PRO I bracelet, and even that lasted 10 years! I paid 265.00cad for the full servicing, and they even polished it and it sparkles like new. Unfornutately, the link in the older strap could not be fixed or replaced. Instead of getting a new PRO II for 440.00 I opted for the rubber strap, which looks real good. I will be trading it soon at my AD for a Steelfish or Colt GMT, so I didn't want to invest in a new stainless strap.
Cheers,
Carl
