Can anyone tell me which years the original Blackbird with the inscription "serie speciale" in red was made?
I have recently seen one advertised as new and unworn - just wondering how old it is.

I've noticed it in a salesmen handbook year 2002 and 2004/2005.

But did the "serie speciale" cover the whole period of manufacture?

yes it was. if you want to find out if it was made towards the end, then the watch will be COSC certified.. and made after 1999-2000.. if it is not COSC, then it would be before that.
