Here is some info I've received on the Blacksteel:

"Feldmars in Los Angeles, says that only 2000 will be made and each will be numbered. Breitling will produce and release the first 1000, then they will release the remaining 1000. There are approximately 330 Breitling authorized dealers so each may get a few and many dealers are already taking deposits on them so when they do come in, they will probably never make it into the dealer showcases!"

Blacksteel will retail for $4650 on Rubber, and the regular Skyland Avenger will retail at $3920 on Pro II bracelet.

They have not annouced a Ti model... if they did it would be very similar to the Chrono Avenger..

Is the dial/case size that of the Chrono Avenger? or larger?

It's 45mm so slightly bigger (1mm) than the Chrono Avenger.

Take a look at the Breitling site - they're both on there.

I own an Avenger Seawolf, which just measured is 45mm, not including the bulbous crown. Thus other then the Seawolf being a thicker case, the size of the Skyland should be about the same then?

Looks that way - I've also got the Chrono Avenger in Titanium and it's not a small watch, but now I've just realised how huge my Bentley 6.75 is going to be - 48.7mm!

Indeed, Bentley's head towards the size of the Super Avenger. Also have a Chronometer Aerospace, which I gifted to my wife, as that size fits her..I sure wish they would have done a metal band on the Skyland Blackbird. Just can't justify that money on a rubber strap watch....

Not only that.. you'd only be buying half a 'Ling! Even worse than my 3/4 of a Ling Chronomat Evo ;) So when i get my Diamond Bezel, will it be 4/5 of a Ling? :?

Actually about 2 weeks ago or was it last week I had a chance to try on a Skyland thinking that I would buy that instead of the Super Avenger. However, because of the rubber strap and the fact the watch somewhat looked like plastic I decided to go with the Super Avenger being 3mm larger was just a perfect fit for me.

The skyland was a good looking watch...but there was something about it that held me back from buying it.

Admin,

If you put a Diamond bezel on the 43.7 MM Evo it would be about 7/8 of a Ling. If you put a diamond bezel on one of the Roman Numeral 2 tone 44 MM Evo's I guess we could call that a Whole Ling due to the bezel. However I would suggest that you just stop messing around and go get the Bentley and then there will be no question that you have the Whole Ling. Sportback is joining the Whole Ling club wth the 6.75 so get with the program here and get the Bentley. After all you are the ADMIN so you should have the Whole Ling !

acceldebt, I promise that after I get my diamond bezel I'll start working on the Full 'Ling!
