Well don't forget that it was only announced at Basel this year so not much time for people to get one - especially as it takes a while to get to stores.

Personally I prefer the original Skyracer.

Sorry but I'm not a big Raven fan either. I think the rubber bezel makes it look a bit cheap I'm afraid.

Dare I say, a wise move PinotNoir! (No offense to any Raven owners out there BTW - just a personal opinion)

As Roff said, the standard Skyracer is a very handsome looking watch.

I almost pulled the trigger and bought the Raven but decided on the superocean heritage instead. The bezel on the raven was not what I was expecting.

I'm with you guys. Really like the original Skyracer and not a big fan of the Raven (personal opinion of course :) nothing wrong with the watch).

Well I'll be the lone voice of dissent and get the argument started.
I like it.
I think the rubber bezel takes the regular Skyracer, which is already a great looking watch to a different level of functionality and practicality. It changes it to more of a tool watch. I would be much more inclined to wear it for outdoor activities and knocking about than any other watch I own. In fact I've been considering buying one for just that purpose. I'm getting tired of leaving my Breitilngs at home when going camping, hiking etc. and having to strap on the casio. To me it's a welcome addition to the Breitling stable and I think it looks fab.

I also like it on the photos, didn't have a chance to handle it.

I've sold a few Airwolf Ravens, none of the Skyracers.

I like the look and when you handle one in person, it doesn't feel "cheap". The bezel is still steel, its just rubber coated. I just think the Skyracer is a bit pricey for what it is whether its regular or Raven

Same debate as with the new Chronomatics - the rubber (coated) bezel isn't popular on this site.

Indeed, like the B01, the controversy lies in the bezel! Hmmm…Breitling rules the bezel world with rider tabs, geared mechanisms…perhaps these rubberised bezels will be seen as trend-setting in a few years time?

I have to agree with the others that the idea of a rubber bezel just doesn't do it for me. what is the point of that? I own a Skyracer and think it is fantastic just the way it is, but if you want a black bezel why not use a black steel or black anodized alum., or something?
