I am interested to know what people have had to pay for service for their Breitling watch. This includes simple things such as the routine service and also complex things such as overhauls of the mechanism. What did it cost you?

$180 to service a Breitling Headwind, and $300 to service a Navitimer with the Caliber 13. Cost for service is based on the movement.

Admin,

Were those the routine servicing events that are recommended every 4-5 years? Or did you have a specific problem that was serviced? Thanks for the replies!

Just had a complete service on my 10-year-old SuperOcean, which is the first time, although I realize should be done every 5 years. It was $265.00cad. They had to replace a part under the bezel, as the bezel would either turn as soon as you touched it, or completly seize up until forced to move. All of that was included as well as servicing the movement, and buffing the stainless steel. Not bad for ten years' wear, I thought. I am completely satisfied with the service at my local AD, Time & Gold, on Georgia Street in Vancouver. I am going to update my SuperOcean in the New Year, likely with a new Steelfish with stainless bracelet and blue dial. They will take my SuperOcean as trade and give me a 25% discount on the new one. I would not consider purchasing my Breitling elsewhere regardless of cost or discount. Just an example of how good service brings loyal customers.
Cheers,
Carl

Thanks for the reply! I have a 12 year old chronomat that belonged to my grandfather. He never sent it into service. It recently came into my possession. It keeps absolutely perfect time. However, I wonder if I should send it in anyways to have the routine servicing done. I worry that if I do it will very expensive, but your responses are encouraging. $300 USD would be well within the budget so I think I will send it in. Thanks!

I would definitely send it in. You will be suprised how much it will look like new again, when the service is complete. Enjoy it! I am always amazed at how a beautiful watch can get me through even stressful times. I can always look at it on my wrist, and to me it's a piece of artwork. All of the Breitlings are like that. The one of your Grandfather's is a real treasure.
Cheers,
Carl
