| Post subject: | CHRONOGRAPH WITH COMPLICATIONS? |
Hi, I am looking to get my Blackbird serviced (original small date model) and was looking at service prices. Would a Blackbird come under self winding chonograph or one with complications? Also would a mechanical service stop mine losing time and put it back to the advised tolerences or would i need an overhaul? I have just tried calling BUK but they don't work Saturdays and i'd just like an idea before Monday if possible.

BB should come under self winding chrono, not the complications. They should regulate it to match COSC if it is a COSC model. |

While technically speaking ANYTHING other than just telling the time is a complication (heck, even a date is a complication!), in this instance "self-winding chrono" describes yours just fine. I guess because most of Breitling's range are chronographs they are considered to be more standard. Complications in this instance will mean things like moon-phases, perpetual calendars, etc.
