Hi, I am looking to get my Blackbird serviced (original small date model) and was looking at service prices. Would a Blackbird come under self winding chonograph or one with complications? Also would a mechanical service stop mine losing time and put it back to the advised tolerences or would i need an overhaul? I have just tried calling BUK but they don't work Saturdays and i'd just like an idea before Monday if possible. |

BB should come under self winding chrono, not the complications. They should regulate it to match COSC if it is a COSC model. |

While technically speaking ANYTHING other than just telling the time is a complication (heck, even a date is a complication!), in this instance "self-winding chrono" describes yours just fine. I guess because most of Breitling's range are chronographs they are considered to be more standard. Complications in this instance will mean things like moon-phases, perpetual calendars, etc.
