Hi everyone, new to the forum.

Just wondering weather the bezel on the Steelfish was brushed or had a polished finished.

Am i right in thinking that Superocean steel braclet is all polised.

Im interested in one of the above, but wondered which one had more bling!

Thanks guys

Welcome aboard.
SF has a brushed bezel, case and the bracelet.
SO has brushed bezel, but case and the bracelet are polished and it has more bling.

As Bnewbie said, but it's the top surfaces that are brushed on the SF. The vertical edges of the bezel and case are polished.

Thanx for the better explanation D8, but I think you'll need to use your mod's tools to move this thread into Breitling Discussion.

I was actually deciding between the Superocean and Steelfish for my first Breitling and have ended up picking the Superocean. I went that way for a few reasons, including the all-polished look over the SF. I also wasn't a huge fan of the luminescent dots on the SF - I thought it made the dial look more crowded compared to the SO (which is also the reason I like the new SO dial more than previous years'). Either way you go though they're both wonderful watches.

If you're interested keep an eye on the forums later tonight as I hope to post some wrist shots of my new SO after I pick it up after work. As far as I know I haven't seen any other wrist shots of the SO with the new '09 dial around here.

Thanks guys.

I look forward to your pics of the 09' dial.

I was dead set on the SF, but i want the shine! SO is 42mm, which also means, less presence.

Could i put the SO braclet (more bling) onto the SF?? or will that look soo wrong?

The bracelets are different sizes. The best you could do is buy the Steelfish, and have it polished to the same finish as the Superocean. It's been done before.

Bracelet wont fit.

Its a tradeoff... I will say, that if you are not completely happy with either, just get some more cash together and get something that meets all of your criteria. I started with a colt...thought it was too small... bought a steelfish...wanted something polished... Bought a skyland...now im happy...

Just in case it's not too late, I finally got around to posting a couple pics of my new SuperOcean.
