I've read that the swinging action of golf may be a risk to an automatic watch but I'm guessing just about everything else is ok... running, weight training etc. etc???? I figure it's time to start getting myself out of bed early and winding myself and my watch!

The problem is with sudden shock so other sports should be fine. Just consider the possibility of cosmetic damage bashing against training equipment etc.

Considering that your moving the club head at a speed of roughly 100 MPH and then "shocking" your wrist upon making contact with the ball, I could see how long-term this could have a negative impact on the watch. Personally, I don't like something on my wrists when I'm golfing, so it's never been an issue for me, but I can see how it may affect the watch.

Ive come to the conclusion that the golfing myth is just that...a myth. Ive been golfing many time with a B on and never had any problem. Ive even been to the driving range and hit 100+ balls in a row. No problem. A lot of us do it and nobody seems to have any issues.

On a side note, ive recently stopped wearing any watch as I had started to find it to be annoying on my wrist.

I've been playing golf with my CA for over three years with no adverse effects. I also wear it everyday for work, it gets a good workout and has performed brilliantly. However, it does have quite a few dings. :lingsrock:

You know I'm thinking that's how it should be!

...and exactly why I need a 2nd Breitling.
