Just curious how you feel when you see people with fake Breitlings on? I recently saw a group of 4 guys with the same Motors watch on. ???

Does it make you angry? Does it make you laugh? I'm was definitely there when I was younger, so I'm not trying to be harsh. Just curious.

Just makes me chuckle. Funny thing is, when I sense an unusually high sense of douchery, I'll glance at the wrist for a fake. Often, I'm not disappointed.

I feel pretty good when I see fakies around. After all, if Breitlings weren't desirable nobody would want a fakie. It makes my watch even more special & the fact that I own the real deal. I do however feel a bit sad for the guys wearing them. They only wear them for the badge value, most of the fakes are hideous compared to the real ones.

Many times I find that people that own fakes really think that others cannot tell. With only one exception, I know no one that owns a fake that's not utterly egotistical. Ironic that.

I don't thinnk much about it except that those people probably can't afford a real one and they want to have the look as best they can. There's nothing wrong with that.

The problem is, most fakes are horrible. I'm not associating owning a fake with being a bad person, it's just my experience that, well, the fakes are on people you expect prior to looking at their wrist.

I bought a fake Tag Heuer Link in Thailand three years ago to see if I would like that style of watch. Two years later I bought the real deal. That lead me to my love of watches . Now I have my Breitlings, a Luminox, and an Orange Monster for work (amazing watch for the money).
This started from the purchase of a good quality fake. I still go to Thailand regularly and the quality of the Breitling fakes is terrible. But Rolex and Tag fakes look much better. Why is this so ?
The fake no longer lives with me as I found someone willing to wear it. Who knows ,I may create another WIS.

I agree. That's how my love started. The fakes actually helped me in the long run - I was so upset with the absolute lack of craftsmanship in the fakes that I knew I needed to get a real one if I really wanted to appreciate the 10 months spent making the watch. It's like driving an old Buick and then getting a Porsche. You have something to compare one another to.

i guess it would depend on the people wearing them. If the people were flashy and trying to pull it off as the real deal then I would laugh. But When the person wearing it is just wearing if for the sole purpose of having a nice-looking but inexpensive fake, then I wouldn't mind it that much. After all, imitation is a form of flattery.

I have appreciation for both, and have owned both. At the end of the day, nothing beats the gen.

But dont kid yourself, there are some VERY good quality replica's out there. Particularly Breitling replica's.
