Post subject:  Breitling Freebies

I have read a lot about what people have been given when they buy a watch from an AD. Is there any official guidance from Breitling to dealers as to what you get? I got the baseball cap when I bought my first watch but I was living in the states at the time.

From what I have read the AD themselves seem to have the power to get other stuff depending on how good a customer you are. As I have bought my watches from 2 different dealers in 2 different countries is there anyway I can register both with BUK and maybe get them to send me something nice?

Thanks for the help.

BUK doesnt send out any freebies. The only way to get something is to ask your dealer and see if the can (or are willing) to try and get you something.

BUSA automatically sends you something when you register--usually a hat the first time, followed by increasingly better stuff.

RJ,

Thanks for the reply. I guess I will try writing to BUK Customer Services and see if I can appeal to their giving side...or move back to the US! :D

Thanks for the help br549

How should I persuade them to offer me breitling freebies? I'm not good with flattery. Something like : I enjoy the watch I have, I'm planning to get a another one, their aesthectically nice.....anything else I should add?

Just be honest with them. Your buddies in the US get free stuff and you want some. You love the brand and would appreciate it if they would be willing to let you in on the goods--and you would be happy with anything they were willing to send your way.

I beg to differ there and another little tip to the wise BUK & BUSA read the posts on this board,I know that cause I have spoken to them about it :lingsrock:

I think th thing with BUK is they get so many requests asking for stuff but they have no idea if those people are genuine or not,They dont keep a record of serial nos until the watch goes in for service so if you want goodies get them serviced then calling or writing will get you a lot further than if you just cold call. Just my 2c worth

Now... for those of us that bought (multiple!) Lings from Canada, but live in the USA, should we "register" the watch with BUSA, and hit them up for some freebies? I REALLY want to represent the brand with some gear.

I don't think BUSA will send you a freebie for a watch that you didn't buy from BUSA. However, next time you are in Toronto stop by the store and ask for something - they have a few things hanging around.

What do you usually get from busa for watch number 2? I already have a hat hopefully they will send something else this time. I have like 50 hats (Not Breitling hats) and I don't want any doubles. There isn't any point in that, but we will see. I was just curious if anyone new if number 2 gets you a 2nd hat. hope fully not
