I'm new to your informative, insightful and interactive forum!
I've been following your topics for a week or so. I've just put a deposit on a Breitling Chronomat (it will be my first B) with a mother of pearl dial. I'm due to pick it up on the weekend. I'm having second thoughts as I've not heard it (MOP) mentioned in the forums. If it has been could someone please direct me to where...if not is there any reason that I shouldn't purchase a MOP dial?
I do own a Omega-seamaster -black dial and a date just....very bored of both!!

I think Bonedoc could give you a good review on the mother of pearl dials. I've seen them in the dealers display but never handled them. I know my AD has a preowned one for sale on their website that I'm having a hard time finding reasons why I shouldn't buy it.

Welcome to BreitlingSource and congrats on joining the Breitling family!

The MOP dials are less common - they aren't available on many models, so that's probably why there isn't as much discussion. I like the MOP dial, it gives a completely different look although for me I would likely go for one of the LE black MOP offerings.

MOP dials have been discussed quite a few times according to the search function - search.php?keywords=MOP&terms=all&author=&sc=1&sf=all&sk=t&sd=d&sr=posts&st=0&ch=300&t=0&submit=Search

Jnelson, always willing to drop me out there. I adore my two tone MOP chronomat! I think it dresses it up a lot and really catches the light in a colorful way. My pics are terrible, but here you go. First thing most people notice is the dial. Very different and special, I think. Great decision on your part, if I do say so myself!
