Is there any such thing formal or informal? I've seen it for banjos and guns, is there a site that someone's put together that people put their serial numbers of any Breitlings of theirs that have been stolen?

I believe that the ADs have a database of stolen serial #s, but there is a big chance that if you buy a stolen watch, then the serial # is usually going to be shaved off to avoid suspicion of carrying stolen goods.

Oh I understand that and I wouldn't buy one with a filed serial number. I'm thinking if I'm buying from a person, just a place I could look up or call for an immediate answer.

Somehow most brands have not yet introduced such a list. There usually exist lists with general agents. But there is hardly any chance, that You can find out the serial number of a watch stolen in UK in the US. The only brand where that works is Chopard, as far as I know. Somehow the others are a little bit reluctant of publishing such information. And don't forget, a stolen watch is probably a new sold watch...

There also exists lists on some internet fora, like watchuseek.

That is exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks. Where might I find one or two of those?
