What do you recommend as the best polishing compound to use on Pro II bracelets? Are these compounds any good? I read that some members had good results polishing away minor scratches with these compounds: http://www.hobbytool.com/6pcjewelersrou ... ndkit.aspx |

Personally I steer clear of DIY machine polishing. Cape Cods are generally all I need/use and I leave the machine polishing to the pros come service time. |

I agree with Driver8 although I have heard of people using red and green rouge. Not an expert on them so no idea how aggressive they are. |

There is really no problem doing the bracelet yourself. In the photo of the polishing kit is the green compound that is probably the right one for stainless and it should be labeled. You should get a Dremel tool with a felt polishing wheel for use with the compound. Get several felt polishing wheels. With a little practice you will get terrific results. I do quite a bit of polishing of various metals at work and stainless is not that hard to get that mirror finish. I polish my bracelets regularly and they look spectacular. Good Luck. |

I have a generic dremel i got from costco, but its corded and it doesnt have a slow enough speed. Ive been considering getting a cordless dremel to do my own. |

I followed your advice and it worked pretty good, I was able to get rid of the scratches on the buckle and on side of the bracelet. This wasn't hard to do at all! Thanks. ![]() |
