After owning an B-1, Seawolf, SuperOcean Steelfish X-plus, Bentley Mark VI and the Bentley GT. I realized that the Mark VI is the only one that doesn't have the small B logo on it's bazel, and the bazel cannot rotate. Maybe that might have something to do with Platinum bazel. But does anyone know of another current model without the B?

As far as I know, only rotating bezels are stamped with the B, as they can be easily seperated from the case.

And Platinum does not have to be protected from faking, as no fake watch will have real platinum parts...

At the risk of stating the obvious......

The B is not stamped (avtually laser etched I believe - though stamped on fakes) on any bezel that doesn't have a flat side - Navitimer's for example

Nor is it stamped on the Flying B!

I think the B is actually engraved (not laser etched) on the real Breitlings.. and stamped ont he fake ones. The older crap fakes had laser-etched B's I think.

To sound like Altair for a minute........ You're as old as the woman you feel.....

I am pretty sure that the B is engraved rather that etched - don't know about the laser etching on early fakes - I would have thouhgt they would have stuck with that approach - less obvious than stamping because of the pressure marks.

I have given this careful consideration and given the implications of simple addition I belive that it is perfectly acceptable to work with the mean - if the standard deviation is excessive then you can consider dropping the high and low value, but that may also be an indication that you need outside help
