Post subject:  Chrono evo problem

This is the 2nd time I will be sending my 2008 chrono evo back for repair. The time wheel adjustment seems to " freewheel" while attempting to adjust, and date won't change. This is very frustrating as you know the turn around time is long. Has anyone run into this?

I haven't experienced it with my Evo.
Was the first problem with the watch the same as the second?
If so, my initial thought is the possibility that you might be setting the date between the hours of 8:00PM and 3:00AM damaging the mechanism.

I always set it with the time at 6:00pm

Sorry, I don't have any other suggestions. Maybe someone else has an idea.

The problem will be either broken / damaged teeth or the crown wheel not engaging properly. The first problem is usually, but no always, caused by using the quick set date in the 'danger' timeframe. The second problem is less likely to be user caused. If it's the same problem then it's possible that Breitling only 'treated the symptoms' as opposed to finding and fixing the root cause. Do you know what they replaced last time?
